Here is the first part of daily practice for those experiencing low moods, lack of confidence, low self-esteem or negative feelings about themselves. This practice is to develop a relationship with yourself which is critical for achieving inner calm and peace.

Do this first thing in the morning and before you go to bed at night in a mirror and then several times throughout the day (in your mind without a mirror).

Find a mirror and stand face on. 
Now get close to the mirror and look into your eyes.

Say “Hello” to yourself using your name and ask how you are feeling. Reassure yourself that it is OK to feel the way you do. Maintain eye contact with yourself. At first, it may feel uncomfortable, perhaps, you may feel silly, emotional, even frightened. This is perfectly normal and is temporary.

Now repeat the following affirmations several times while looking into your eyes.

You (Name) ARE a worthy person deserving of happiness.
You (Name) VALUE yourself and your FEELINGS.
You (Name) ARE an amazing person with the ability to overcome any situation.
You (Name) have as much right as ANYONE to inner peace and calm.
Changing your mindset and feelings (Name) IS simply new learning.
Every day (Name) you ARE feeling better and better stronger and stronger and more in control.

When saying the affirmations throughout the day, (not in the mirror) Say I instead of YOU and no need to add your name
